I love Quest bars. Literally love them. I have a fully fledged addiction to protein bars that has gotten to the point I prefer to eat them over normal "candy" bars... which let's face it, most protein bars aren't that far off being candy bars! I have tried every single flavour of Quest bar that's available. Whenever they release a new flavour I get excited about trying it. The flavour before this I believe was Cookies and Cream which has to be the best one they do in my opinion. It has a great flavour, bits of cookie and chunks of chocolate. Great stuff. So when I heard they had released this new flavour, S'mores, I though "this is going to be good". S'mores are an american campfire treat. You get two Graham Crackers (whatever the hell they are) and sandwich a toasted marshmallow on top of chocolate between them. It all goes gooey and awesome. That's what my American chums say anyway. Before I get into how Quest has done capturing this flavour, let's take a look at the nutritional info.

Quest have always been great when it comes to the nutritional side of things. They somehow manage to keep the calories low and the protein high whilst turning out a product that tastes great. They've come under fire several times for false declaration of calories but I love Quest... they can do no wrong for me!

So at first glance, as with all the other Quest bars, they aren't great to look at. I mean look at it. It doesn't really look that inviting. Who cares though. They taste great. You can see little orangey / biscuit coloured pieces in the bar which I'm guessing are meant to be "Graham Crackers" and of course the chunks of chocolate are very visible. Little white flecks of what I guess are supposed to be marshmallows are there too. The smell of this bar is great. Really sweet. Chocolatey. Spicy. The taste. It was a bit of a dissapointment I have to admit. I was expecting a flood of different flavours but in reality this bar just tastes like the old Choc Chip Cookie Dough flavour that they do. I came to this decision quite easily because I had literally just finished a box of them prior to getting these. They have a little bit of a cinnamon / nutmeg kinda flavour in there but only mildly. They also make a bit of a mess compared to the other flavours, all kinds of bits kept falling off it whilst I was eating it. All in all, if you love Quest bars I'm absolutely sure you will love this flavour too. It's sweet, tasty and chewy with a good chunk here and there. I just expected a little more from it in terms of unique flavour. I'll be going back to the Cookies and Cream flavour!
